Inflationary Universe in Kaluza-klein Theories
نویسنده
چکیده
We describe extended inflation and its typical problems. We then briefly review essential features of Kaluza-Klein theory, and show that it leads to a scenario of inflationary cosmology in four dimensions. The problem of stable compactification of extra spatial dimensions is discussed. The requirements for successful exetended inflation lead to constraints on the parameters of higher dimensional models.

Kaluza-Klein Higher Derivative Induced Gravity
Kaluza-Klein higher derivative induced gravity is studied for its application in the inflationary universe. The stability of an inflationary solution in aD+4-dimensional anisotropic space is analyzed carefully. We show that there is two nontrivial constraints derived from the static assumptions on the D-dimensional scale factor d and scalar field ψ. We find that a physical inflationary solution...
متن کاملOrigin of FRW cosmology in slow - roll inflation from noncompact Kaluza - Klein theory
Using a recently introduced formalism we discuss slow-roll inflation from Kaluza-Klein theory without the cylinder condition. In particular, some examples corresponding to polynomic and hyperbolic φ-potentials are studied. We find that the evolution of the fifth coordinate should be determinant for both, the evolution of the early inflationary universe and the quantum fluctuations .
متن کاملCOBE constraints on Kaluza–Klein cosmologies
A class of Kaluza–Klein cosmologies recently proposed is compared with observations of the cosmic microwave background. Some models are ruled out, while others turn out to be viable, with the number of extra dimensions being constrained by the COBE and Tenerife experiments. To appear in Int. J. Mod. Phys. A Kaluza–Klein (KK) theory [1] has been revived in recent years in the forms of supergravi...

de Sitter inflationary expansion from a noncompact KK theory: a nonperturbative quantum (scalar) field formalism Abstract We develop a nonperturbative quantum scalar field formalism from a non-compact Kaluza-Klein (KK) theory using the induced-matter theory of gravity during inflation. We study the particular case of a de Sitter expansion for the universe.
